Yes, I see what you meant now and, of course, I agree.

Yes, however there is no winning bidder who might notice that he was a victim of shill bidding, so it's not likely anyone will report it to ebay. Only if ebay detects it themselves there will be consequences, but this is far less likely to happen.

If they win their own auction with a different account eBay does class that as shill bidding... eBay doesn't immediately detect it though if the account is registered with a different location and the bids come from a different computer.

True, though they will probably get away with it unless they use those other accounts for shill bidding.

If they made the judgement that the price they were going to get was not worthwhile they could sell to themselves, mutually agree to cancel the transaction, leave themselves glowing positive feedback... and pay nothing for the whole experience... there is some logic to it... but if they get caught doing it by eBay they will have their accounts suspended.

Post subject: auction time changed
item 260714070138
bid never went through - auction ended - item gone.
snipe set up a day before, one hour early the auction was still on, so i don't think the seller could have ended it early.
what could that be ?
thanks !

Post subject: End time changed?
Re: Item#230565109139
I think the original end time on Gixen has changed from the original snipe set-up, and the auction is now showing as having ended. Any idea?
