It's also possible that some locks are temporary, so waiting a day may have actually been the required difference. These security measures to protect accounts are not widely publicised, for good reason in that more knowledge of how they work can also help those that wish to gain unauthorised access to other peoples accounts. Anyway, I'm glad you regained access and thanks for coming back to let us know that you did. |

yes, username verified and password reset. Just now, 24 hours later, tried again with the exact same words and I'm in. No idea what changed. |

| Firstly, I assume you are getting the reset emails ?... If not, what follows does not apply and I'd recommend making sure you can retrieve your Gixen id from the system, using your registered email address, first:
https://www.gixen.com/forgotusername.php Once you've confirmed that, I think it's possible, with too many incorrect attempts, to get your id locked. If that's the case Mario would need to intervene to free it up. He can be contacted directly via email at the support address given on the Contact page. Make sure to include your Gixen id, in all such communications. |
