Unfortunately over use of that feature tends to cause it not to work consistently due to actions taken by Ebay when you use it a lot.
The issue occurs, I believe, because in order to access your watch list the Gixen server has to log into your account... but after looking at your watched items there is no resulting bid on any item... Do that too often and Ebay start getting suspicious that someone other than yourself is accessing your account.. and the measures they introduce to check whether or not that is the case then make the feature not work at all.
So to summarise, I recommend using it sparingly, if at all, and when you find it is not working please revert to entering your snipes manually... I find that actually saves me time since I don't have to go through and edit them after they appear in my snipe list.
Fortunately Ebays' measures are usually temporary, and you may well find the the import feature appears to 'fix itself' when, in fact, nothing can really be done to 'sort out' this ongoing issue. _________________ Mark

Cupid, That happened to me today and I lost an auction for which I placed a higher snipe bid at the last minute. By the time I manually entered it, it was too late for Gixen to win it, so was not Gixen's fault. Yours was a good answer and you helped me a lot. I will also begin entering snipe items manually. Thanks for the info, I appreciate all your help. |

By the way, can you tell me how long it takes to drop off ebay? And also, how often is too often to import watch list? Thanks in advance. |

Do you mean how long are auctions on Ebay after they have completed? - About four months in my experience.
If you mean how long do their sanctions last after over use of the 'Import Watch List' feature? - According to those that have experienced it, it appears to be about 24 hours.
I would say, if you use the feature more than once a day that is probably over use. _________________ Mark

Thanks, Cupid. Yes, I meant the sanctions. I will have to refrain from over using it from now on. Too bad ebay ruins such a fantastic feature of Gixen! |
