If you change your password at Ebay it is often a good idea to leave it a day or so before trying to log into Gixen again.
This is because Ebay detect that you are logging in from a new location with a new password and sometimes use that information to request that you take extra steps to verify that it is indeed you that is logging in... Gixen can not perform those steps for you so it does not manage to log you in. _________________ Mark

I have a similar problem, but I have not changed my eBay password. I can log out and log in again to eBay manually and automatically (using a password saver), but when trying to use Gixen to set up a bid I am informed that my password is rejected by eBay - my password saver is warning me that my password for ebay and Gixen is the same! I know the desktop program is separate, but it also is rejecting my bone fide password. I last used Gixen a couple of wweeks ago successfully. Advice please if possible, thanks. |

tailkh,
It may be necessary for you, and others with similar issues to verify your account against the Gixen server, with Ebay.
If the problem does not resolve itself in a day or so, then Mario can provide you with instructions as to how to go about that process... but the information is divulged on a need to know basis.. so, you will need to email him at the support address provide on the 'Contact' tab above. If and when you do that please provide your Ebay id in order to identify yourself, as well as a short explanation of the issue you are experiencing and how long since that problem started. _________________ Mark |

Thanks for the advice. This has happened when I particulary want to use a snipe bid rather than identify that I am in the bidding! |

With no further action, tried a Gixen snipe today on the same item and it was accepted with no "error" message. Will heed your advice however if the problem occurs again. |
