It is the rule on Ebay that if two accepted bids are of the same amount, the earliest wins.
To be more successful you either need a larger offset (so the bid gets there earlier, and maybe arrives at Ebay before the bid that is beating you, if that is also a snipe) or you need to bid slightly more.

I have now lost two auctions where the amount I bid has been the same amount as the winning bid but I have somehow lost both can anyone explain? Thanks
