No - changing your bid is equivalent to deleting / inserting. Make all the changes 2 minutes in advance.

You really need to have decided before that what your maximum bid is, about 2 minutes before the end of the auction is the minimum I would recommend changing an amount, otherwise the old amount may still be used by Gixen.

Gixen submits the bid that you ask it to... eBay works out the final auction price based on the second highest bid plus one increment. So the final amount that you are due to pay may be less than the amount of your bid.

Okay, so Gixen submits it to the automatic bidding service instead of entering the max bid straight up I guess.
Thanks for the prompt and helpful response!

grandmasterzel,
take a look at the following two pages:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/automatic-bidding.html
http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/bid-increments.html
Feel free to ask any further questions here.

Post subject: First timer trying to understand bidding rules
I'm new to both Gixen and eBay and I could use some help understanding the bidding rules.
The Gixen FAQ appears to say that Gixen will submit my maximum bid to eBay but if I win, I'll only be required to pay the previous maximum bid plus one increment. However, I can't find this pricing rule anywhere on eBay.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
