Well, it's a message that originates from Ebay... so, it won't be anything that Mario has any influence over.

Many get confused by it, thinking it is referring to items that you can still pay for now, but it doesn't. What Ebay refer to as unpaid items are any things that you've purchased in the past year or so that have been cancelled by the seller as unpaid.. so that they get their fees back... You might not have even asked to cancel the transaction... if that does not sound possible, as Mario says, you will need to call Ebay Customer Service to get them to tell you what records they have of items that you've purchased in the past that show as unpaid on their systems.

Also people often think that if this applies to one auction it should apply to all, but that's not the case either. Sellers can decide what restrictions to put on auctions on an auction by auction basis. Many don't have any restrictions of this kind and prefer not to block any bids that would raise their selling price, while others do it only on certain items, often when they feel comfortable that they'll not be blocking any bids that will actually cost them any money, e.g. if they know already that there's a great deal of interest in a particular item.
