Kindly advise why I have lost my bid for GBP 61.07? The bid was just a few minutes ago. Item no 254589357401 |

As detailed here the bid increment is ÂGBP 2 at that auction price.
The auction price was ÂGBP 60 from 11 seconds before that auction ended, so with anything less than a 12 second offset your bid would have been rejected by Ebay. _________________ Mark |

Thanks Cupid for your reply. So I should have bid GBP 62 or greater to win the auction?
I have checked for the bidding increments before I placed the bid on Gixen, and I am sure that I found an eBay increment listing which up to GBP 100, it was only 1 Sterling. Maybe I am being played some tricks |

I don't remember the bid increments changing recently, but I'm not absolutely certain on that, perhaps you were looking at the bid increments in a different currency, on a different Ebay site ?
In order to be accepted your bid would either have had to be GBP 62 or placed before the price rose to GBP 60 (which would have required an offset of 12 or more). However neither would necessarily have resulted in a win as we don't know what the eventual winning bid actually was and it could quite easily have been more than that. All we can know for certain now is that had your bid been accepted the eventual price would have been more than GBP 60. _________________ Mark |
