Hi Chris,
No, that setting is purely for convenience to you, it only changes where the links to the Ebay sites go for the item ids on the snipes page, it does not affect the sniping activity at all.
As far as I can tell Ebay does not have a Cyprus site... what is the URL of the site that you use, that appears in the address bar of your browser ?
