\"BID UNDER ASKING PRICE\" status falsely stated

I set up Gixen to autobid for eBay item number 151723567828. After the auction ended, Gixen is saying "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE" and "Why did I lose this auction?" as the status, with my bid of 31 and current price of 29.00 USD.

I won the auction at 29.00 USD, so I don't understand this status. The bid history doesn't show any retractions. Is this problem related to Gixen Mirror?

Obviously this is a minor problem, since the bidding actually worked as expected. I've been a happy Gixen subscriber for several years, and it's never failed to bid for me. I'm very pleased with Gixen. Thanks for your hard work.

This will be because the Mirror server bid won this for you, it is normal operation.

Ebay does not allow two bids of the same amount to be placed at different times... Hence the Main server will have had its bid blocked if the Mirror server got there first.. Ebay will have told Main that only a higher bid is acceptable.. Hence the status you see on the Main tab... on the Mirror tab it will be 'Won'.

There is a follow up process that goes and gets the status back from the Mirror, interminably... So if you wait for a while without deleting the snipe you will find that eventually, the status should get updated to 'Won by Mirror'.

O.k., thanks. That makes sense.

A day after the auction ended, Gixen Main was still not updated to say that Gixen Mirror won, and the auction disappeared from Gixen Mirror. I didn't delete it.

That is odd if it disappeared from Mirror before Main, not heard of that before. If Mario reads this, he has the auction number in your first post, he may be able to tell us more what may have happened to cause that.

I think occasionally the update back to Main from Mirror of the 'Won' status does fail though. As you say, it isn't a major issue even if it doesn't get updated.
