Item number:331572747571
I had an item listed to be bid on. I watched the auction, but my bid never even showed up and was not listed on bidders list. Why did my bid not go through?

What was the status that Gixen gave the auction after it had completed?
How much was your bid, if it was less than one bid increment above the current auction price when Gixen came to place the bid it would have been rejected by Ebay, that is often the reason that people do not see the bid the expected. _________________ Mark |

It said bid under asking price, but I would have been in the top 2 bidders. |

Yes, 'bid under asking price' is what it says when your bid is rejected by Ebay for not being at least one bid increment more than the current auction price.
This is why I, and others, choose a higher offset for our snipes, so that we can be one of 'the first of the last'.. and stand more chance of our bid actually being accepted. _________________ Mark |

When you say a higher offset, do you mean changing the offset from 6 to a lower number (I changed mine to 3) like 3 or 4 or do you mean 6-8? |

Yes, I mean a bigger number... So that the bid is placed longer before the auction ends... It works better for me. _________________ Mark |

OK Mark, I will try going higher. I have been going lower thinking going in at the last few seconds was better. I appreciate you helping me. |

Your bid was lower than the high bid at the auction end time. When that happens eBay will not even accept your bid and it will never show up on the bidders list. This is normal. |
