Gixen sent me an email that I had won a jewelry auction for $111. I went to pay and the auction item had sold for $200 plus.
This makes no sense to me. Can a seller rig this in some way?
I buy a lot this way and often lose. For a few dollars or drop out before the end when the bids go over my limit, but nothing like this.

If you want a definitive answer you will need to supply the auction number.

What I imagine is that there were more than one later higher snipes scheduled on your auction.. and for some reason the detection of later bids by Gixen failed to detect the bids after yours was placed... it happens sometimes, since a separate procedure needs to try to access the auction after it has finished, and this is not directly related to the business of sniping the auction in the first place.

It is very unlikely that the seller has anything to do with this.
