ENDED at 255.00 I bid 255.00 but got the status message "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE"
I don't understand why it would say this?

Todd,
It's not strange. You have to bid more than the current price at the time snipe is submitted. At this price range the minimum bid increment required was 5$ = 260$ bid. Google for "ebay bid increments" to find out more.
