What if several bidders snipe on the same product ?

Hello, I was so much in my bid yesterday that I forgot to say hi... sorry about that.
I've just discovered why I had lost my bids because of snipers so I come and thank you for this site.

I wonder how it works when several bidders snipe on the same product, and what more if they use the same sniper ???

I'm so happy with this discovery I'll try again.

If several bidders snipe the same auction then, as always with eBay, the highest accepted bid wins the auction.

If they all use Gixen (I cant be certain about other sniping services but I would expect the answer to be the same) then Gixen attempts to place all the bids, once more the highest bid that is accepted by eBay wins the auction.

To do anything other than that, by any sniping service, would be both unfair to the losing buyer, to the seller, and would, quite rightly, contrevene the rules of participating in eBay auctions for the buyers and the service that they use.

Yes I understand, I just wondered how the snipers could manage to bid fast enough before the end and one after the other on the other's highest bid... but of course it's the highest who wins, I assumed that !
And what if 2 persons have set the same price on their snipers? well, I have much to learn...

All the maximum bids are submitted at the offset specified by the sniper (or by the service if it does not provide the option to change this as Gixen does),
eBay rules/options dictate which are accepted and the eBay bidding system sorts out which is the winning bid and what price that bidder must pay.

If two snipers were to set the same price and both bids were accepted by eBay then the first to be placed would win, that is the one with the highest offset in Gixen terms, this is one of the eBay auction/bidding rules.

If both bids had the same offset, so they were placed at the same time, then it is random which one would win, that is a very rare occurance though, I dont think I have ever seen an auction where it has happened.
