It says ended, but my mirror bid was above that price.

Is 'Ended' the status on both the Main and Mirror tabs ?

Was your bid more than a bid increment more than the auction price when it was due to be placed ?

What offset did you give it on both the Main and the Mirror ?

Do you ever use the browser refresh button in order to update the snipes page ?

The last update was only 38 seconds before auction end. That's far too late.

Nothing in the UI indicated so, and not sure what the script could be doing in those 30 seconds?

This is an extract from the FAQ tab.

Quote:
Can I change my bid after I've entered it in Gixen?

Yes, just click the [Edit] box next to your bid and enter the new amount. Note that clicking the [Edit] box cancels your original bid, so be sure to enter your new bid before logging out.

Note that all edits, deletes and new entries should be completed at least 2 minutes before auction end. In case of late edits, Gixen will make every effort to 1) cancel the edited snipe if already in progress, and 2) execute the updated snipe, but neither is guaranteed to succeed. It is, however, more likely that late delete / cancel will be successful than late addition, so in most cases late edit will result in cancelation only.

I recommend that all users read the whole of that tab at least once.

The set up and running of a snipe takes considerably more than 30 seconds, there's a fair amount of interaction with Ebay to be completed before a bid can finally be submitted on your behalf.
