\"Too Many Requests\" - Status Message

After auction closed, the status message was "Too Many Requests"

I had a higher bid than the award by about $40, however, it appears my bid was not placed.

Same error for me. My bid was $14 more than the winning bid ended up being too. Super bummed because this item doesn't show up in the US often. Funny thing was Gixen placed a bid for me on a different item only 2 minutes prior (though I didn't win that either because someone outbid me, which I'm fine with).

Same here on items I wanted to bid on. On one item my top bid was $15 more than the $41 it sold for. On the other item my top bid was almost double it selling price. I really needed both of these items and foolishly relied on Gixen to take care of it for me..........

I should have added in my post directly above that I am a paid Gixen member. So, my bid was supposed to be by both the Gixen and Mirror Servers......I thought from what I read and was told "with both, its foolproof".....

I had the status of "too many requests" as well, for two auctions:

#164116509648, ended at 9:00 PM (Pacific Time)

There was an issue with Gixen's communication with eBay's backend.

Apparently some limit was hit, a limit I was not fully aware of, so this is really my fault, not eBay's.

After some urgent communication with eBay, they were able to raise this limit, which resolved the issue.

I am sending an email to all affected users as I type this. In total, bids of 454 users were affected by this.

My sincere apology for the issue.

I've just had exactly the same problem this evening (17/3/20) on item number 233521939632 .
Maybe things need looking at again.
I've been a Gixen subscriber for years (lost count), use it loads and generally very happy

Sorry....got a bit muddled. The error message I had was "EBAY ERROR: PURCHASE LIMIT EXCEEDED"

i had 3 that one day... none of my snipes went thru.. i only won one with my preliminary bid and no other bidders, thank goodness.. one of them i needed to bid on.. it went VERY VERY LOW and it made me ill! but such is the life of sniping! its normally very safe and good.. i am a subscribing gixen member... i have been for years...

Same for me, got this message for about 20 listings, and lost out on hundreds of dollars. Seems like a lot of people are using Gixen because many of the items ended way below market. I feel super bad for the seller, you owe them several thousand dollars in lost bids mate.
