Gixen submitted my reserve price 6 hours before the end of auction. The bid was $30 higher than the previous best bid. The winning bidder submitted his bid 6 hours after mine, and only seconds before the end of the auction. Does Gixen have a bug?

The highest bids on this were:
h***9 Feedback Score (2738) $58.75 20 Jun 2024 at 7:41:36am PDT
r***u Feedback Score (97) $57.75 20 Jun 2024 at 1:39:24pm PDT
with Time Ended: Jun 20, 2024 at 1:39PM PDT
So, actually it was the winning bid that was placed first and the snipe bid was outbid by it.
Can you please clarify which bid was yours ? _________________ Mark |

It was 57.75 bid, so it was not early. Gixen can't place snipes that early by design, it never happened in almost 18 years. |

OK, so this is just a misunderstanding of the Ebay auction bids page.
That page always displays the bids from highest to lowest, NOT from latest to earliest.
They also only ever show the amount of the bid that is necessary to win the auction, most often that's just one bid increment higher than the next highest accepted bid, and only show the full amount of any bid once it has been outbid. _________________ Mark |
