|
|
So I put in a bid of 4.50 two hours before the end of the auction.. I received a message in the dying seconds saying I was the highest bidder at 3.70 and a congratulations message seconds later from eBay stating I had won, and please click here to pay. I click and I am taken to the “I am sorry but you lost this auction page” I checked my eBay summary and it sold for 3.70 but it doesn’t look like my username is anywhere in the bid history because my username begins with an f not an i .
So who’s at fault? Gixen, eBay or me? I haven’t the foggiest.
Thanks in advance

Hmmm...
What status is reported on your Gixen homepage?
If Gixen lists this as WON, I would suggest logging into your eBay account and check your purchase history to see if it's listed there. _________________ John

On Gixen my main and mirror status both say WON for this item
But my eBay purchase history has nothing new in it. |

Well, I'm stumped. The bidding history says that only two people bid, the winning bid was placed twice (which indicates the use of a sniping service like Gixen), and Gixen says that you won; but the winning bidder eBay lists is not you.
It's clearly an eBay glitch since they sent you an erroneous congratulations message, but I will ask Mario to have a look. Maybe he'll be able to see something in the server logs that might give a clue to what happened.
I would suggest contacting eBay to see if they can explain it (if you have the patience). _________________ John

First and last letter in the bid history no longer have to match first and last letter of the ebay username. Just looking at it, it looks fine to me. Is it possible that you have multiple ebay accounts, and you are not logging in to the correct one?
Please email me your ebay username, and I will take a further look. |
