Why is it lately, that I have a problem copying & pasting the item # when scheduling a bid? Maybe 1 out of 5 times it will work. Otherwise I have to enter the # manually.
Also, sometimes while attempting to "paste" --- other numbers (prior bid numbers ??) will pop up into the number section.

Hi Jo,
Which browser are you using?
I use Firefox and I have noticed that since a recent update it does now offer suggestions for many fields on many sites, where you have entered details before... I have not yet worked out how to stop this behaviour.
However it has not caused me problems with cut and paste, you just have to make sure not to select one of the suggestions when you paste the auction number into the box... I suppose it does require a bit more care than it used to. _________________ Mark |

I am using my laptop, windows 7, internet explorer 8. Never had trouble until lately. Just now put in some bids and it is still happening.
I can copy & paste on other sites with no problem.
I do not select any of the other numbers that automatically pop-up in the number block when I try and paste my current number in.
Thanks for any resolution. Jo |

Do you use the keyboard short-cuts (Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V) to cut and paste?
Are you selecting the field that you want to paste into with the mouse first... or using keyboard navigation to get there?
Can you explain in more detail what exactly is not working for you, by saying how you are trying to do it, and at what stage something you had not expected occurs? _________________ Mark |

Hi there, I toggle between the eBay screen & the Gixon screen and use a mouse to copy & paste.
Thanks, Jo |

I would suggest using the keyboard short-cuts (Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V), you might find that works better and is easier once you get used to it. _________________ Mark |
