swlondon,

It is normal operation for them to disappear from your snipes page.

That auction ended last Friday and, to aid greater efficiency in the database, items are only retained on the snipes page for a couple of days after the auction finishes.

I agree the date you are seeing may be a defect though.

A number of my non-won snipes (item 272870242842 and others) are not showing in the list on the home page (Chicago or Miami). It is as if I had purged completed, but I didn't do so. In the history page the time deleted shows as 12/31/69 04:00:00 PM PST - is this a bug ?

This is indeed a bug that was introduced during August transition, only no one reported it until now, and I haven't noticed.

I believe I have fixed this now.

Oh. OK. That means the date and time in the <Time Deleted> column is not accurate.

You appear to have discovered a bug. As Mark suggested, we will have to wait for Mario to look into this.

However, the reason you have four entries is that for each entry, you deleted your bid before the auction ended.

But...I didn't delete any bids! I entered them all in Group 1.

I agree John,

We require an explanation from Mario.

My history has some very strange entries, Mark.

For example, there are two entries for each auction I won, and the bid amounts are different. Some pairs even have a bid of 0.00 for one of the history entries in the pair. And, as has been pointed, the meaning of "AUCTION END TIME CHANGED" is very unclear.

Something appears to be amiss.

So multiple edits of an item result in multiple entries in your history ?

I never knew that, why do we need multiple history records in that case ?

Aren't we only interested in what snipe was active when Gixen was scheduled to enter the bid ?

Previously the meaning of that status has meant that a seller chose to end the auction early because the item was no longer available or they chose to sell to the highest bidder before the end time... but that is not the case for this auction it ran right to the end of the seven days it was originally entered to run on Ebay.

P.S., of course substitute s for $ in

Had to use a $ symbol as the real thing triggers the Gixen site spam filter.

Thanks.

Hi there,

I'm a Gixen noob and paid subscriber, and am just learning how to use it for bidding. I must say, when I look at the History table, I'm pretty confused.

Can you offer an explanation for the bid sequence shown here?

http$://imgur.com/a/R4y1F

I assume the bids are coming from the main vs mirror servers but I can't tell which is which.

Other mysteries: What does "auction end time changed" mean...this appears repeatedly in my history log.

Why does the group number change from 1 to 0 even though the item is "always" in Group 1?

Thanks, I appreciate your help. I might suggest building the answer into the FAQ so that others like me don't have to bother you again!
