Psychology is a great thing.
Most non-snipers don't understand how proxy bidding works, but snipers getting it much faster because they actually use it.

It's like stealing candy from a baby. Imagine if you could do this at a live auction like Barrett Jackson. Some car only has one guy interested, and it's a steal of a price. So with 1 second to go you win the car for $1 more than his highest bid. It's like you put in your bid when the gavel is in the air, mid swing. Awesome.

I just saved at least $80 because I sniped a MC part for $41 intead of buying it from a scrap yard for $125. I beat 2 "nibblers" that were upping each other by $5 in the last 4 minutes of the bidding.

I love it.
