Importing your Watch List is just that, no other lists are looked at.
Importing your Gixen List will only have any affect at all if you have a list called 'Gixen List', it has nothing to do with whether you have already bid or not.
In fact, it is unlikely that items you have already placed a bid can be imported at all this way... because apparently they show up differently in your watch list, so Gixen doesn't pick them up from your watch list even if they are on it.
You can get email updates from Gixen too, but first I think you need a Mirror subscription, then you need to switch on that service on the Settings page that comes up after you press the 'Settings' button. |

Hello UK, good morning,
Thank you again!
I think that it is a very good idea to create a Gixen List among my other Lists. It will make following easier. I adopt your excellent invention. Please send me an invoice for royalties.
What does Gixen mean by Import Watch List? does it mean ALL the items I am watching on eBay (many lists) or does it really mean only the Watch List which is the one built-in on eBay?
And what does it mean by Import Gixen List: will it collect from eBay and import the items on which there is an existing bid ?
I used eSnipe for years and it never failed me. The bid was always there on time (I decide about the time) and eSnipe sent me a notice to my email inbox about the results of the auction.
I am tempted by the free use of Gixen and mostly by the option of using group bidding.
I don't buy now on eBay as much as I used to, so that I not use sniping often. In addition, most items are Buy-it-Now, not auctions like it was the custom before. eBay became a store, it is no longer an exciting platform.
I will appreciate it if you enlighten me on the subjects which I raised.
Best regards,

If you are intending to use it a lot then I recommend investing $6 for a years subscription to the Mirror, which gets you another server working on all your snipes.
Without it you might expect about 1 in 250 to 300 snipes to fail for some reason... with a Mirror subscription, obviously that is much lower... the chances of them both having a problem at the same time is very small, but not impossible. |

Dear Cupid,
Thank you!
I appreciate your reassuring me. I do not intend to use the Import feature, I don't see what advantages it could have for me.
I start using Gixen, but I am not new in the sniping business. I hope that it will go smoothly, so far everything seems friendly and easy. Does it ever fail?

Gixen can bid on any item that you can enter a snipe for, it doesn't matter what list you choose to put it in.
Personally I have many lists too... I usually end up putting all those I have entered snipes on into one list, but that's just how I choose to organize my lists.
Personally I don't recommend using that import function anyway, it appears to cause too many problems, and it is impossible to guarantee that kind of import will always function, since ebay seen to block the operation with Captchas if it is used too frequently.
You can add things to a Gixen List and import that too with the other button available... but, obviously, I don't recommend that either since the same issues apply.
So the short answer to your question is, in terms of bidding, Gixen doesn't refer to any lists at all and certainly doesn't rely on items being watched. |

Hello,
About the feature "Import Watch List":
All my items on eBay are grouped in various Lists named by me, sorted by subject.
When I saw that only the Watch List can be imported, I wonder if the bids I will enter through Gixen will work only on items I placed in the list bearing the title Watch List, or on ALL the items in the other different lists.
Does GIXEN "read" only the Watch list?
Thank you!
