Gixen will always bid, if it can.

In the specific instance quoted here there are no errors.

The result is as stated though, but for different reasons.

On Ebay if you have the two highest bids and both are enough to win the auction you don't pay any more than if you had only placed one bid, the lowest.

This is the way Ebay bidding works, nothing to do with Gixen... but, obviously, Gixen is implemented the way that it is, because if that fact... there is no need for any added complexity, on the Gixen side, to cope with these situations as you might expect.

I agree that there is very little point in making other bids early though, that is only likely to be counter productive, in that it encourages others to also bid against you and raise the auction price accordingly.

You can, but that defeats the point of sniping - not making your intentions known until the last few seconds of the auction.

You can't, in effect, bid against yourself. If you place the $75.00 bid via eBay and it remains as the highest bid gixen will return an error message when it tries to bid for you. If I'm correct though gixen will still increase your max bid to $100.00 should any further bid increases be needed against other bidders.

This is my first time using gixen so just a quick question. If I set my maximum gixen bid at $100 and the current bid right now is $50. Can I manually enter $75 a few minutes before the auction ends just to be safe and will the gixen bid still get put in properly? I did pay the $6 for Gixen mirror, too. Thanks!
