| I couldn't find a place to contact eBay directly about the scam, but I contacted the seller to let them know, and they replied with a personal email thanking me and indicating that they get so many shield bids these days that they have to inspect every auction for them. Looks like that $200 bid was a bogus shielding bid used to protect the low bid that won (seeing as it was retracted the second before the auction ended). I wonder if the seller knows he just got fleeced? |
