oil2loayjr, I explained what happened, admitted my own mistake as part of it and apologized for it. I also took some reasonable steps to avoid that mistake from happening again. If I can help in any other way, please email me, and I will do my best to make you as happy as possible.

Hi: It was down a lot longer than an hour, and I pay for 2 accounts so I am not here bitching for no reason. There have been more issues than usual in the last month, at least for me.

Yes, I was not reading it correctly. That makes the one day outage so much better. Sorry.

samaxy,

Gixen does not have multiple websites, although I can set up one manually when needed. I never claimed there are multiple websites, only multiple sniping servers.

Yeah, I do hope you set up some safeguards soon. I was getting frantic as I had some snipes going and wondered what the !!! was happening. In desperation I set up another snipe facility to cover my snipes: Not ONE of Gixen's web sites was accessible. However Its good to know that even though we cannot access the site, that our snipes are still going to function.
Cheers

My apology, the problem was very short lived (an hour or so), but I forgot to start the web server afterwards. So while snipes were still executing, you couldn't access the web UI.

I am implementing some safeguards to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Glad to see Gixen up and running again.

But what is the situation with programmed snipes when gixen.com is down for prolonged periods like this? Do they go ahead as usual? Or only on the mirror service?

Also, does Gixen have an official blog or social media page where we can see service updates when the main site is down?
