If this is an new Ebay account that you have never bid from before, to be sure you can bid on items without always being prompted for extra information, it might be an idea to place at least one test bid manually on Ebay before scheduling any snipes on that account.
Unfortunately, that is not infallible either, sellers can choose from a selection of restrictions that they can impose on their auctions. Most common among those that cause an issue are having a Paypal account linked to your Ebay account, having any non payment strikes against the account and not having any, or at least very little, feedback on the Ebay account. Those restrictions can be imposed on a per auction basis so some find that their bids are successful for months or even years before they encounter any blockages even when the cause may have been a potential issue for a very long time. |
