I can see 10 such failures in the last 24 hours. That's actually pretty low for Gixen's snipe volume - it's just that you were unlucky this time.
Timeouts happen every day, they are unavoidable and nature of TCP protocol, part of how congestion is detected by the TCP implementations. The problem with sniping is that usually there isn't enough time left to retry. Gixen mirror helps with this. |

There is nothing on your end that caused this. Timeouts happen, I would think you were just very unlucky here. One thing you can do to help avoid this is to subscribe to Gixen Mirror - this is exactly what this service is for.
Note that I have seen a few users who were always getting this error, not just once, for every snipe. Those were account problems of some kind. |

Is this something I can correct on my end, or was the bidding server down? |
