Don't understand why you are "bummed".

When you snipe an auction, you must do it at the highest price you would be happy to pay for the item. If you sniped at $293.88, I would assume that it was because you would not have been willing/happy to have bought the item at $293.89. If you would have been willing/happy to pay $293.89 (or more), then why did you set your snipe as low as $293.88?

$293.88 would have won if your bid had gone in first, a good reason not to snipe too close to the end of the auction.. I won this one by 1 cent! My bid went in at 6 seconds, and the underbidder at 3 seconds. Thanks Mario!

Though you may not be happy, you must concede that it is Ebay with which you have a quarrel and Gixen did exactly what it was supposed to do and as much was possible under the conditions.

The Gixen status values are generally well chosen, this one was 'BID UNDER ASKING PRICE' it was not 'BID UNDER AUCTION PRICE' precisely because the situation that occurred on your auction is quite common.

You haven't specified the item id, but I assume that the reason why you lost is ebay bid increments. It's *not* enough that your bid is higher than the winning bid, it has to be higher for a certain bid increment. In that price range that increment is $5.

I'm not good at math, but I think a bid of 293.88 should beat the asking price and winning bid of 290.00?! I have the mirror service too, very bummed out right now.
