It does warn you (the snipe is highlighted) when the auction price is within a bid increment of your snipe bid.
Of course you can still lose if a higher bid than yours has already been place on Ebay/// there is no way to tell if that is the case other than placing your bid(or the other bidder telling you I suppose).
What sniping does is ensure others have no time to react to your bid.... if others independently decide to place a bid higher than yours then no sniping tool can win the auction for you. |
