| I think it is most likely that the Ebay login screen that you see is what was presented to Gixen at a late stage in the bidding process (after it had already logged in). This can sometimes indicate that Ebay wants something extra from you before they will accept more bids.. and sometimes placing a manual bid will reveal what it is that they want.
It is also possible that EBay lost the fact that you were already logged in... I get this occasionally when I am browsing Ebay, and have to log in again... it seems to happen most often at busy times for Ebay... but I have known it to happen quite randomly... obviously if it happens at a moment when Gixen is trying to place a bid for you it messes things up as being a time critical operation there is not time for Gixen to log you in again and get the bid placed before the auction ends. |

| Just tried to use Gixen to snipe on item 261361523328. I received UNKNOWN ERROR (3). From the price that the item finally sold at (GBP 36.53), my snipe (GBP 45) should have been successful. When I press 'view error' from the main server (Chicago), it brings me to the eBay logon screen. I logon and it simply brings me to the auction page - no indication of what the error is. When I try to view the log from the mirror server (Miami) it indicates "Error log not found. Please contact Gixen support (0)"
Any ideas? |
