Hi Mario,

I am sorry I did not return and post this immediately.

I did try to bid through ebay later that night, and got the same result as you... I appreciate your tactful response. 8)

Now I remember the seller...
I lodged a complaint against this seller a few years ago for grossly overstating the size of the fish they were selling. Checking their feedback, the practice continues.

More importantly, this was absolutely not a Gixen issue, and my
confidence has returned completely.

I will of course, continue subscribing to the mirror svc, and to champion Gixen to others.

Regards, Eric

Eric,

The auction was restricted by the seller, not by Gixen. Below is text from the return page Gixen received. You would have got the same result had you bid yourself. Email me if you want the original.

Sorry, the seller is not accepting bids or offers from you at this time.

This may occur for various reasons. For example, the seller might have a limit for the amount of items that can be purchased within a given time.

Hi Mario,
Item number: 221303610877

I posted a bid on Gixen well before the auction closed. I was watching the auction on ebay and saw the item close at 64 dollars, and at first thought wow, great! I got it for less...(12 dollars below my maximum bid). But I am not the winner. It seems that Gixen and the mirror never put in the bid? While it is the first time Gixen has failed to bid for me, this was an auction I really cared about, and expected to win. If someone topped my bid that I could accept, but that i lost to a much lower bid is upsetting.

Now my confidence in Gixen is severely shaken. Perhaps you can explain what happened?

Thank you, Eric
