Man, I had now idea about this...
Thanks Mario. I actually thought the bidding price limits were the same in all countries using Euro was the same.
I will keep this in mind the next time ;-)

Increments are different on ebay Netherlands, apparently.

So the increment is not a function of current price and currency, but of current price, currency AND country site.

Not sure I understand the reasons for this, but that's how it is.

This item, 231071300558, was sold for 299€ even though I had specified 301€ with the error message "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE".

However, between EUR 50,00 - EUR 499,99 the lowest increment is EUR 1,00 os in theory, my bid was not under the asking price.

Now, I don't claim that I would have won the bid anyway, I just want to understand why my bid was not accepted.
