This is completely normal and to be expected... Gixen updates the prices via a background process periodically... real time updates are just too resource intensive to be feasible for the number of users of this site.

This does not affect the most important aspect, that of placing the bid in the last seconds of the auction... the current auction price does not affect that process and is provided in the web interface for convenience only.

The Gixen Desktop Manager can be used if you require more up to date auction prices... that uses your own computers' resources to retrieve the prices direct from ebay.

Hi there

I have a group bid going. I checked eBay and the bid had risen to $152.50 so I logged into Gixen to increase my bid. In Gixen, the "current bid" was showing at $112.50. I refreshed the screen thinking that this might be the issue. The Gixen "current bid" did not change and still showed as $112.50. Please note that I was actually logging back into Gixen, not just opening an already opened session.

I haven't noticed this before. Will this affect my end bid result?
