No, no conversion is done, if you got that message that was probably a bug of some kind. I can't replicate it though, as buy-it-now option is gone now.

Hi
according to my research in FAQ's and this forum the bid amount will always be in the currency of the auction, this seems sensible and I've always assumed it so.

However, I'm bidding on item 200792927486 which is in Euros and has a buy-it-now price of 19E (approx GBP 15), I've bid 16.00 in Gixen an get a warning message

"Your maximum bid is higher or equal than buy-it-now price. eBay may (and probably will) refuse your bid."

this suggests Gixen is doing a conversion.

BTW my account is set to ebay.co.uk if this makes any difference.

A second question on international bidding, I often bid for items on ebay.co.uk to be delivered in the UK and ebay.de for delivery in Germany. where items are not shipped internationally I know Ebay will not let me place a bid unless my account delivery address is set to the country matching the sellers delivery list. I therefore spend time changing my address to match my bids. Does Gixen get around this limitation? would a Snipe still be rejected?

thanks in advance
