That is fine until you get two bidders doing it at the same time (I've seen it happen), then one of them has to pay considerably more than it is worth... if you willing to accept that risk, not a problem, but otherwise a strategy to be considered with care. |

It's like when dice in your car on the street. You do not go as fast as your car can go. You win by just keeping ahead of the first loser at the finish. You bid your maximum amount, but you only have to pay a little more than the next highest bidder, which can be a lot less than your maximum. If you want to win forget about bidding a little more than its worth. Bid a whole lot more. And you will probably win at the minimum increment above its actual value. Good luck! |

No, not necessarily, it's the same as when you bid manually with ebay - you submit your maximum bid, and then ebay proxy sorts it out. |

And if I win the auction, what will I be charged? The amount I wrote as my maximun? |

Maximum.
No, that's not shill bidding. Shill bidding is when seller props up the price with another, fake account. |

Hello, I'm a new user on eBay and Gixen, and I just had a question that is probably really dumb but I just wanted to make sure! :)
When I add a new snipe, should my bid be what I am willing to pay as a MAXIMUM or just a regular bid close to the price?
Also, when I bid on ebay and I get outbid inmediately is that sill-bidding?
Thank you so much for your time! |
