Thanks for the replies and reassurances...I've had a closer look now and I can see where you set bids to be grouped (I hadn't even noticed that before)...and I think I've figured out how and why you do it.

I think I was making the mistake of assuming that "grouping" meant items all from one seller, but I can now see that (I) would create the group myself...and the seller(s) is actually irrelevant...I think...LOL

Anyway, I'm not anxious any more.

Thanks again :)

asdf1976,

Don't worry about groups. Grouping you have to explicitly select. If you have not done this, all snipes are single snipes.

I have no idea where you read that if you lose a bid from one seller, that all other bids are canceled with the same seller. Such feature does not exist.

Thank you for subscribing - schedule your snipes and stop worrying. For every post and/or failure you see about in the forum, there are literally thousands of wins. For example, only in the last 48 hours Gixen won 9,300 auctions.

Grouping is used when you only want to win one item in the group, to do that you assign an item to a group when you set up a snipe on Gixen. For instance if you want to win 1 new car... not all of the ones that your are interested in bidding on you assign all those snipes to the same Group.

You should NOT assign a Group to your snipes if you want to win all of them, as in your case.

Hi, I'm a new user of Gixen and I've just paid the $6 to have the mirror service. I'm reading a lot about "group bidding" but I have no idea what it means.

In about 8 hours, I have set bids on Gixen for 10 different items, all from the one seller and all of which end within a minute of each other...I am concerned that something to do with "grouping" is going to happen which I have no idea of.

I keep reading that if you lose a bid from the same seller, than all other bids are cancelled...i would be HORRIFIED if this happened to me as I do not want it to.

Can someone please advise ?
