| Not only that it does not need it, SSL can't really work through a proxy, or at least not in a meaningful way, as such proxy wouldn't be able to modify, read, or filter anything in such a connection, as it's encrypted. | |

Yes, what mario said is correct. I tried to download and run GDM on my laptop, and GDM can successfully connect to the server. Thank you for the valuable information. I never know before that SSL does not need proxy setting. Have a nice day. |

| GDM is using SSL anyway, so HTTP proxy setting is irrelevant.
If you can see https://www.gixen.com in your browser, GDM should work. |

| What operating system are you running?
If it is some type of Windows, are you allowed to use the 'proxycfg' and/or 'netsh' commands to configure the proxy settings? |

Is it possible to set the proxy setting for connecting to Gixen server via Gixen Desktop Manager? Does Gixen Desktop Manager use proxy setting in IE? I don't see it in the Settings > Preferences. My network does not allow me to connect to the Internet without proxy. Please advise. Thank you. |
