I searched with Google for a good free sniping website. I wanted to bid at the last minute (to keep price of item down) but couldn't be sure I'd be near a computer. A few people in forums recommened Gixen.

I like the fact that you don't need to set up an account, you just sign in with your ebay Id. I also love that you can keep going in and modifying your bid amount. I changed my absolute maximum bid a few times.

When the auction was about to end I watched the price jump a few times. Then at the 6 second mark my bid was entered and I won the item. For a lot less than I put my highest bid in at. I could have done this manually but this was a lot easier and I had time to think how much I was absolutely willing to pay.
