| Those free weekends may be what surprised me. Even Sundays are never this busy. Will be increasing capacity significantly in the following week, this shouldn't have happened. | |

Sundays, especially related to free listing weekends (that or the week after) are always the most busy times for eBay and hence, I presume for Gixen. |

| I regret to say that it seems that this was a capacity issue, hence an oversight on my side. I was unable to find any evidence that this was indeed an attack of any kind.
I am working on preventing this from happening again. Many apologies to all the affected users. |

| There is an issue that looks like a DOS attack on the main server in the last 40 minutes. I temporary disabled logins until I see what is going on.
If you see an "AUCTION ENDED EARLY", "EBAY ERROR: BID FLOW RESET" or "UNKNOWN ERROR", this is what caused it. Snipes for auctions ending after 2.40 are executing fine again. Mirror server was not affected by the issue. I am investigating what caused this, and will post updates in the same thread. Please do not create another forum thread for the same issue. |
