From the FAQ:

Bid amounts are always in the currency in which the auction was listed. Thus, if the current bid in the auction shows as GBP 1.50, then entering a bid of 3.00 in Gixen would mean that Gixen would bid GBP 3.00.


By the way, this is how it works when you place a bid directly with eBay: the amount you enter is interpreted to be in the currency which the auction is listed.

I tried to bid on an item and was not aware that it would not bid the currancy it was i was in. I thought it would bid in usd not au and it placed my bid in AU and i lost. very dissapointing.
