After cocking up a couple of last minute attempts at bidding manually I decided to give Gixen a go. Shortly after entering my snipe details with about three hours remaining to the close of bidding, the telecom network in my area died for a few hours. :shock: When I got back on to internet I found that I had won the item. :D
