Rather than putting "max bid" in the form, this should be in a FAQ, which is in the works. Technically, "max bid" is a misnomer: you simply enter a bid. The source of confusion is that eBay auctions are second-price auctions, which means that the amount you pay is the amount of the second-highest bidder's bid (plus a small additional amount called a "bid increment"). eBay should call this the "winning price", but instead they call it the "winning bid", even though it is rarely equal to an actual bid.

then i think you should put "max bid" in the form rather than "bid". It would be more senseful to everyone (and you wouldnt get this kind of question all the time)

Thanks for the service

Yes, Gixen will submit your max bid to ebay, and ebay will then use proxy bidding. Search through previous posts, this question has been answered more than once.

Do I simply add my maximum bid to gixen and will the site do all bids for me? Meaning I won't need to enter my initial or max bid on the ebay site?
