That's unfortunate. I tried to post on the day but the anti-bot check kept erroring and captcha image didn't change even after refreshing, not to mention the random errors accessing the forum that I'm still getting.
Anyway, I hope you can offer an opt out of the incremental bidding. This was an example of a low bidder interest item where the extended bidding would have made no difference to the final value. If Gixen had submitted my set max bid, I may have won the auction. Thanks for taking the time to respond. |

| This was on Monday, and I no longer have detailed logs to be able to say for sure. Gixen saves very detailed logs for three days.
However, what I can see is the following, and it's weird: At timestamp 1792417216 the bid of 1.62 was sent and you were outbid. Then, at timestamp 1792417271 the bid of 2.14 was sent and the status returned was \"bid too low\". Looking at the bid history I only see a bid of 1.22. I am guessing the whole issue is caused by the \"buyer protection fee\", but need to investigate this further. |

| The first part of the story will be this.
As detailed there, the strategy is being changed/tested of incremental bidding when the auction has extensions. So, we have it starting to bid incrementally which will be the bid you see, and the auction extending (presumably, but the Ebay system can be unreliable in this respect at present), however a minute later the next incremental bid has failed (to get that 'BID UNDER ASKING PRICE' status), so we'll need to ask Mario what went wrong there. |

Gixen placed a bid of $1.22 and shows status BID UNDER ASKING PRICE. What went wrong? |
