You would need to know what to search for, but it has indeed previously been discussed here, here, here, etc.

To reiterate... if your snipe bid is at least one bid increment above the current auction price at the end of the auction, when Gixen attempts to place your bid, Ebay will accept it.

However that does not mean that you will pay any more for it than you otherwise would have done because Ebay only ever makes you pay at most one bid increment more than the next highest bidder, not more than your own lower bid.

You do, of course, need to make sure that you are using the same Ebay id for both bids, and that your snipe bid is higher than the bid you've already manually placed because Ebay never accept a lower bid from the same id, placed at a later time.

Of course this is the behaviour you'd want, both from Ebay and Gixen, because you are therefore not only not risking paying any more, you are also protected from losing to bids that come in later than yours, which might also be at least one bid increment higher than the auction price but still lower than what you are actually willing to pay, via your snipe bid.

Hello!

If the item ends and I was the winning bid already, will gixen still snipe with whatever bid I configure it for? Or will it not snipe if I'm the highest bidder when my offset is reached?

I checked FAQ and searched but did not see any posts about this. Sorry if I missed it!

Thank you
