Usually the advice is to do what you've already done, use different Ebay accounts, which also requires the use of the same number of different Gixen accounts. I think, if it were me, I'd also go the extra step of setting the Target sites on the Settings page to be Germany too, I don't think that is the issue here, but it can't do any harm to set it that way.

I'd also set the 'Change ebay target site automatically if needed:' option to 'yes'; I don't know if that still changes the operation on Gixens' sniping, but again, can't do any harm to have it set for cases like this one.

Many years ago there was a suggestion that it made a difference which site you created the Ebay account on, but I'm not convinced we ever established any real truth to that assertion.

Hi: I have two eBay accounts, one with an address of a post office box in the US and a second with an address of a post office box in Germany.

I just bid on an item in Germany that was available only to bidders from Germany. (286048736480) I used my eBay account with the German address but the bid was refused saying the item was restricted. (I would have won if the bid did go through.)

Any suggestions? Do I need to tweek my Gixen account in some way? If yes, how do I handle simultaneous bids on items in Germany and the US?

Thanks. Lawrence Dolan
