If your bid was for US $52.00, unfortunately you lost.
It looks like there were two bids placed in the same second, the highest accepted bid always wins on Ebay.
My guess at the behaviour you are seeing is that Ebay reported the bid as accepted (and not outbid at the time of submission), however Ebay also accepted the other (higher) bid at the same time and later noted that the other bid placed, was higher and so outbid yours.
Gixen has a process that looks back at the auction, a few seconds later, to determine if other bids have raised the auction price after your bid was placed. Obviously, on this occasion, that was not successful in detecting this other bid, that's a failure; it's possible that at the time Gixen checked Ebay was still determining the winner and didn't report the higher price back to Gixen.
In any case whether the reporting failure occurred as a result of an error on the Gixen or Ebay side of things, the outcome was not affected, the highest bid won the auction. |
