However, when your bid was due to be placed it would still have been in place and hence the price higher than you were willing to pay. It's clear to me that the activity of the bidder that removed their bid: https://www.ebay.co.uk/bmgt/ViewBidderProfile?&mode=1&item=255805670563&bidtid=2959361576015 indicates a pattern of bid shielding which should be reported to Ebay. This kind of fraudulent activity and the action taken by Gixen, when you have an active Mirror subscription, to try to combat it are discussed in this blog: https://www.gixen.com/blog/bid-shielding-ebay/ however for very late retractions, there may not be enough time for Gixens' final attempt to bid on it for you to get in before the auction ends. |
