I think it's likely that more new users, without Mirror subscriptions, are going to use groups since it now appears to allow them to enter more snipes before they reach the limit now imposed on such users.

I therefore agree that further explanation of the function is probably desirable.

These were indeed group snipes.

I will see that I make it more obvious that groups are not a cosmetic thing, but rather a feature that should be understood before using.

I would only expect a Cancelled status when using a Group and therefore as a result of the outcome of an auction that ended earlier within the same group.

Were these snipes entered as members of a Group ?

The email I received from Gixen says this item was Cancelled
The information in "my snipes" says this item Ended.

In fact, the item did end. The winning price was well below my bid in Gixen, but it appears that Gixen didn't execute properly.
