Bids are placed on your account (as per the authorisation that you provide) at the end of the auction. If you can not see the bid, when logged into that Ebay account, after the auction has completed your first place to look should be at the status that Gixen has assigned to that snipe, in order to see why the snipe was not successful. |

I looked under the item, and there isnâÂÂt any bids there, nor my name.
Is that the way this works?
Thanks. |

It does enable you to enter the maximum amount that you are willing to pay, this is what the 'Your bid:' box is for when you Add or Edit a snipe. |

It's been awhile since I've uaed.Gixen
That said, I've used sniping programs in the past but I've never encountered a program that didn't enable me to input the max amt I was willing to pay. When Gixen snipes, how does ot know how much I'm willing to pay? |

The whole point of sniping is that your bid is submitted in the last few seconds of the auction, so that others have no time to react to it having been placed. |
