Post subject:
The current function of contingency group bidding has been quite extensively discussed here:

... I think your post really constitutes a further suggestion, as to how it could be made more useful. Perhaps a new thread in the 'Suggestions and Ideas' section might be a more appropriate place for us to continue this discussion, or on the thread I just referenced?
In any case I think it is unlikely that Mario will consider altering the function or providing a new alternative, since the feature as currently implemented seems not to be used to any great extent... as you yourself say, it has taken you some time to decide that you may have a use for it.

Post subject: Contingency bidding with multiple items
I finally had a situation arise where I needed contingency group bidding! Pretty proud moment, I didn't think I would ever need it. 8)
Now, it says that it will cancel all further bids in the group, if the first bid fails. I suppose I understand that, but that sort of limits the usefulness of the grouping to only two items and no more. Let's say you have three or more items you want to put in the contingency group. Now in a case like that maybe you would rather keep trying to bid on the items in the group until you're down to your last two? If you lose the second-to-last item, then you can cancel the remaining bid.
